Adding Value to blog posts
How can you write a blog post that adds value to the internet community when nobody is following? How can you come up with the next viral post? There is so much pressure out there to perform on blogs. There are so many blogs coming on line each day but the amount of people reading is dropping as people are blogged out and spending the time on You tube and other such sites. We have no magic solution and dont post that often. We try and only post when we have something interesting to say. Some of our most popular posts on this blog are actually posts designed to help. So they are very specific. We draw alot of our inspiration from our clients support questions. how to backup... various different error messages.. etc.
So dont chase the big fish. Try and get some slow and steady traffic from the long tail and then on a specific post dealing with a specific topic then add some targetted traffic from one of many affiliate sources.
